Congratulations! MTs Zainul Hasan Genggong Student Secures Bronze at International Math Olympiad

TIMESINDONESIA, PROBOLINGGO – On the significant occasion of National Education Day (Hari Pendidikan Nasional/Hardiknas), May 2nd, MTs Zainul Hasan Genggong, Probolinggo, East Java, celebrated a momentous achievement. Widhat Ainur Muttaqin, a dedicated student in their 6C science program, triumphed at the Thailand International Mathematical Olympiad (TIMO), securing a bronze medal. This prestigious competition was held in Bangkok, Thailand, from April 26 to April 29, 2024.

The Olympiad attracted thousands of young minds from across the globe, each eager to demonstrate their mathematical prowess. Among them was Widhat, a 14-year-old student from Bondowoso, who is currently studying at Pondok Darut Tauhid PZH Genggong. His success at this international level is not just a testament to his academic skills but also serves as a perfect birthday present for his 14th year.

“I am incredibly grateful for this win, which has turned out to be the best birthday gift I could have asked for. This achievement would not have been possible without the constant prayers and support from my family, friends, and teachers. I am hopeful and motivated to achieve even better results in future competitions,” Widhat shared enthusiastically.

KH Moh. Hasan Naufal, S.H.I., M.Pd., the principal of MTs. Zainul Hasan Genggong, expressed profound gratitude and pride in this significant accomplishment. “We give thanks to God for this blessing. Participating in competitions offline after a long period of online participation provided a unique and enriching experience. This achievement is not only touching but also a source of immense pride for our community,” KH. Hasan Naufal remarked.

MTs Zainul Hasan Genggong is renowned for its diverse and intensive coaching programs that cover both academic and extracurricular activities. The school places a strong emphasis on its olympiad coaching, targeting specially selected students who have successfully passed rigorous tests.
