Xiaomi will cut Prices of Redmi S2 and Redmi 6 at the End of this Year

TIMESINDONESIA, JAKARTA – Xiaomi rushed to boost sales towards the end of the year. One of them is by giving attractive discounts. In the near future, Xiaomi will reportedly cut prices for Xiaomi's two smartphone products, namely the Xiaomi Redmi S2 and Redmi 6.

Reporting from Tabloid Pulsa, Xiaomi will correct prices that will take effect from December 4. The new prices for the two Xiaomi products are as follows.

1. Redmi 6 3/32 from Rp1.999 million to Rp1.599 million.
2. Redmi 6 4/64 from Rp2.399 million to Rp1.999 million.
3. Redmi S2 3/32 from Rp2.199 million to Rp1.899 million

Xiaomi Redmi S2 officially launched in Indonesia in May. This product targets the selfie lovers segment by showing off the superiority of the 16MP front camera supported by pixel binning technology and Xiaomi's AI Beautify feature.

The rear camera of the Redmi S2 comes with a dual 12MP + 5MP AI camera and has a full screen screen of 5.99 inches with an 18: 9 ratio supported by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor.

Meanwhile the Redmi 6 relies on dual cameras on the back with a 12 megapixel configuration as the main sensor that has a 1.25 micron pixel size and a 5 megapixel secondary sensor. The main camera is also equipped with AI technology.

The performance of the Xiaomi Redmi 6 is supported by the MediaTek Helio 22 chip which has a 12 nanometer production process with 2.0 GHz octa-core clock processor. Well, the Helio P22 chip is claimed to have a performance similar to Snapdragon 625.
