1. Irregular eating

Because of our daily activities, we tend to eat irregularly. For example, we are often late for breakfast because we don't want to get traffic jams or being late arriving at a work place.

In addition, delaying lunch time or even being late at dinner makes us more likely to snack on unhealthy and  fiber-poor foods to overcome hunger.

In fact, many people are finally eating junk food that is rich in calories and fat.  In fact, it can make the stool even harder then it triggers constipation.

2. Smoking

Smoking habits can affect digestive health, especially in terms of triggering constipation. The accumulation of nicotine from cigarettes turns out to make digestion run slower and ultimately makes it difficult for us to defecate.

3. Drinking alcohol habits

Frequent consumption of alcohol can also directly affect of constipation. This is caused by the diuretic properties of alcohol. This means that alcohol will drain fluids in the body which can eventually make the stool harder and harder to remove.

4. Consuming too much caffeine

Eating caffeinated drinks like coffee is indeed very enjoyable to do. Unfortunately, if we consume it excessively, then we will be more susceptible to dehydration which ultimately affects the arrival of constipation.

5. Lazy to exercise

If we are lazy to exercise and lack sleep, then the risk for constipation will increase. This is caused by the disruption of the digestive system which ultimately impacts on defecation.
