Rica- rica bekicot or the super spicy snail is a famous and delicious food around Indonesia. However, if you visit the Sarangan Lake (Telaga Sarangan) Magetan, you better go to Bu Watik restaurant.
Bekicot or snail was chosen as their main menu since Bu Watik think it has lots of benefit to people's body. However, snail is a mysterious creature which usually hide. And it's so hard to find them nowadays.
The 15 years old restaurant had already served lots of customers either from Magetan or other area outside Magetan. She could sell around 100 plate of Rica-tica bekicot each day.
"Its not expensive, you could get them starting from IDR 15 k to IDR 50 k per plate, and we need around 230 pounds of snail everyday" Bu Watik said.
