Toba Caldera Geopark Need to be Realised Soon by UNESCO

TIMESINDONESIA, JAKARTA – In order to introduce the Toba Lake or Danau Toba to the world, Indonesia need a certification from the UNESCO to sentence the lake to become a Global Geopark.

To support this action the government thriugh Tourism Ministry, Arief Yahya and several other droartment has fix and manage the facilities like making the nearest airport into international airport and fix some facilities at the Toba lake itself.

“The lake had been assessed and we only need yo wait for the announcement by April 2019, surely it will be more easy to promote this lake to the world after getting the UNESCO Global Geopark certification," he said.

“Lokasi Danau Toba ini mudah dipasarkan karena berdekatan dengan negara tetangga,” ujarnya.

Terlebih kini dikembangkan The Kaldera Toba Nomadic Escape sebagai salah satu amenitas dan daya tarik baru yang ada di sekitar danau vulkanik tersebut dalam bentuk akomodasi nomadik.

In addition, still according to him, Toba have had Toba Nomadic Escape as another world class attraction, and many more. The location which is close to country boarder will make it easier to be accessed by foreigner.

The concepts is still designed. Yet the government will make Toba Lake or Danau Toba become more attractive and modern like building an amphitheater and presenting some new concert or show each week on order to make the UNESCO certify the Toba Caldera Geopark. (*)
