The Story Behind Shatomedia: a Company which Produce LED Digital Clock

TIMESINDONESIA, YOGYAKARTA – Having a bachelor degree from the Engineering Faculty of Universitas Mercu Buana Yogyakarta (UMBY) Safiq Rodyad trying to implement his knowledge and skill on his company the Shatomedia by making LED digital clock.

He hold this idea of making LED digital clock since he was doing the social service for his bachelor degree's requirements. But as he realized that making a company will need more money he then work as a graphic designer on a company to gather some money for his own future company.

"Once I think I had enough money, I took two of my friend to start our own company called CV Shato Media Innovation. We only focus on the school alarm clock at that time," Safiq said on Sunday (29/9/2019).

But the company didn't last long. It's only last for two years. Two of his partners decided to turn their direction onto something else. Meanwhile he stick on the LED digital thing and turn the alarm into digital clock which now has been used by most Mosque in Indonesia.

As the main director of Shatomedia, Safiq Rosyad offers all of his customers in Yogyakarta a free service for a broken LED digital clock even if they didnt buy the clock from his company. His products has become very popular and been distributed to various places around Indonesia such as Surabaya, Bandung, Semarang, Jakarta, Kalimantan and Sumatera. (*)
