Festival Minum Tuak Manis, Moment to Taste Exotic Traditional Wine of West Lombok

TIMESINDONESIA, LOMBOK BARAT – There were around 3000 cups of local traditional wine (tuak) served at the Festival Minum Tuak Manis of Pusuk Lestari, Batulayar, West Lombok in order to support the Festival  Pesona  Pusuk  Lestari 2019.

Tuak is a kind of palm wine, traditionally processed and sometimes mixed with dried fruits that give the beverage a sweeter flavor. Its often served at the weddings and other ceremonies at the local area.

The traditional wine of Pusuk Lestari has some kind of it's own advantage. It taste sweeter than the regular tuak we could find in another area without additional flavour. They even said this this wine could defrost the kidney stone disease.

"We would be happy if the domestic or foreign people could taste our tuak especially which made in Pusuk Lestari, West Lombok," The Mayor of West Lombok Fauzan Khalid said on Sunday (24/11/2019).

Still according to him, people tend to consider tuak as an alcoholic drink that will make you drunk once you taste it. It leads to a false believe about tuak as a bad thing to drink regardless to its benefit that could defect the kidney stone.

"You gotta try this, this traditional wine will not make you drunk and could cure your kidneys stone," The Mayor of West Lombok said on his visit to Festival Minum Tuak Manis. (*)
