South Sumatera Appointed as the Next Host of Triathlon 2020

TIMESINDONESIA, PALEMBANG – South Sumatera proudly appointed as the host of the next Triathlon 2020. This event is planned to be held on February 2020. This event will be followed by thousands of athlete either from internal or foreign countries.

"We planned to hold this event on February 22-23 2020. And there will be several categories competed on the event," The event manager Ahmad Wazir Nopiadi Mawardi said.

Still according to him, the categories which will be competed on the event are the olympic distance, sprint distance, and mixed relay. As regular triathlon, there will be 3 different sports hold such as swimming, running, and biking.

The athlete will start swimming from the Jakabaring Lake, and then pedal their bike from the Jakabaring Sport City through the beautiful magnificent Ampera bridge, and then back to the Jakabaring Sport City (JSC) Palembang.

This event believed to be able to raise the surge of visitor to South Sumatera especially Palembang as we know that the triathlon will be followed by hundreds of foreign athletes. (*)
