Basuki Hadimuljono Granted with Man of The Year Award

JAKARTA – Times Indonesia on its Times Indonesia Award chose Mochamad Basuki Hadimuljono, The Minister of Public Works and Public Housing of Indonesia to be granted with Man of The Year 2019.

Hadimuljono is born in 1954 which now serves as the Minister of Public Works and Public Housing under Joko Widodo's Working Cabinet. Before his appointment as minister, he had worked for the Indonesian Ministry of Public Works for nine years.

This 65 year old guy has never had bad rumors during his career. He even managed to be a figure that turned Indonesian infrastructure development rocketing to the sky.

He built more and more highway around Indonesia which of course ease and shorten the time of the Indonesian to go to another area. Several of the highway was built in certain untouched area such ad Kalimantan, EAST Nusa Tenggara, and Papua.

He also built a by pass such as the southern crossing lane, a By Pass of Lombok International Airport – Kuta Mandalika, and the northern ring road of Brebes Central Java. He also has built 8 of 36 dam during his service which could be used as hydroelectric resources.

He has had so much project conducted during his service. He even let go of one of his private house to be donated for the sake of the country.

"Its not to show our capability, but it just for the country development. We've been way too far behind Singapore and Malaysia," Basuki Hadimuljono which is granted with Indonesian Man of The Year at the Times Indonesia Award 2019 said. (*)
