Florawisata San Terra in Malang: The Best Spot to Hunt for Flora Photography

TIMESINDONESIA, MALANG – There is a new tourism in Malang, Florawisata San Terra de Lafonte, which is located in Pandesari Village, Pujon sub-district, Malang. This tourism destination presents the flower park as its signature.

This place was officially opened on Tuesday, 24 December 2019. The opening of this tourism destination is mainly aimed to welcome the travelers who are coming to Malang during this New Year and Christmas holiday season.

The area is now 4 hectares in size. However, it is expected that this area can be expanded up to 7 hectares.

“We are now getting visitors while we are working on the expansion,” said the Relation Officer of Florawisata San Terra de Lafonte, Hubertus Setiono.

His team creates a concept that will enable the visitors to enjoy the integrated nature tourism. Besides, the visitors can learn about flower nursery as the nursery is available in the location.

“The visitors can learn about flower nursery or buy some flowers in here,” he added.

Most of the visitors come here to hunt for photo. According to Hubertus Setiono, there are around 700 types of local and imported flowers in this flower park. There are also several artificial plastic flowers to decorate the photo spots.

This flower park is divided into indoor and outdoor. The visitors only need to pay for the entrance ticket fee. There is no additional fee to enjoy all the facilities inside this flower park.

The entrance ticket fee starts from IDR 20,000 for children, and IDR 25,000 for adults. The fee has included all service. However, the visitors have to pay for the flowers if they want to buy them. The prices of the flowers are various, depending on the flower type and age.

The flower is planted according to the season. There is a flower rearrangement in every three months. The flowers are well-maintained so that the visitors can enjoy the view of fresh flowers.

There is a Korean miniature inside the park that becomes the selfie spot, representing the parks in Korea. “We also plan to build a huge fish pond,” he said.

The presence of this new tourism attraction is expected to support the local economy as this park involves the locals to be the staff and the workers, such as ticketing staff, gardeners, and so on.

“We hope we can capture the society’s interest,” he said.
