MALANG – Muksin Fauzi Baljun a street artist which has been travelled to almost every corner of the country is someone who invented the Rogojin method.
Rogojin is an art of reading poetry accompanied with a music from bamboo flute. It's just that the flute were blown from the nose.
They guy introduced the method on 1999 in Taman Ismail Marzuki, Jakarta. Since then, he travelled around the country to introduce it more to the public.
"Rogojin literally means a genie soul. It's because I will dress like a genie each time I performed this art," Muksin said.
The guy was intending to bring the Indonesian art, not only Rogojin but art in general to be appreciated more by the public.
To him, it was such a shame that the local community has lack appreciation towards any art they found and saw even if it was displayed in a gallery.
"I'd like to take people to appreciate Rogojin more in this way. And surely it's a bonus if I could met all the artists in Indonesia especially at the places I visit," Muksin added. (*)
