Home Made Bleach According to Indonesian Institute of Sciences

TIMESINDONESIA, JAKARTA – The Indonesian Institute of Sciences just released some name of products that you ould use to make a bleach to desinfect your house. It is believe to be able to tackle coronavirus entering your living room.

"There are lots of products you could use as a cleaning agent to bleach your house. You could also steam your house after desinfect it to make sure its germ or virus free," a researcher at Indonesian Institute of Sciences Chandra Risdian said.

Such cleaning agent with Accelerated hydrogen peroxide (0.5%), Benzalkonium chloride /quaternary ammonium/alkyl dimethyl benzyl ammonium chloride) (0.05%), Chloroxylenol (0.12%), Ethyl alcohol atau ethanol (62-71%), Iodine in iodophor (50 ppm), Isopropanol atau 2-propanol (50%), Pine oil (0.23%), Povidone-iodine (1% iodine), Sodium hypochlorite (0.05 – 0.5%), Sodium chlorite (0.23%), and Sodium dichloroisocyanurate (0.1-0.5%) could be a good source of your bleach.

Any product such as Bayclin Lemon, Bayclin Reguler, Clorox Desinfectane Bleach, Clorox Toilet Bowl Cleaner Bleach, Proclin Pemutih, So Klin Pemutih are such an example for the bleach.

Meanwhile, Candra said that you need to wear gloves to apply the bleach to every corner of your house since its corrosive and danger for your skin.

"Once you made a perfect solution for your bleach, you could start to clean every corner of your house including your toilet, switch, your sink, door knob, table, or any other hidden place" the guy who works at Indonesian Institute of Sciences added. (*)
