Bread Pudding, an Easy Food Recipe to Make during Quarantine

The cooking method is very easy. You only need to cut a loaf of white bread, soak them in the mixture of milk and eggs. You may also choose syrup or honey instead of sugar as the sweetener.
For those who like fruits, you can add some slices of fruit, such as apple, blueberry, strawberry, orange, or pineapple. You may add some sweet-savory caramel sauce, or even some cinnamon, nutmeg, or vanilla beans.

Ingredients:
100 gr unsalted butter, let it sit in room temperature
12 slices of white bread, cut the crust, cut it into 4
75 g raisins
75 g sultana
½ teaspoon of cinnamon powder
5 eggs
700 ml milk
200 ml thickened cream
150 g sugar
Cooking method:
- Brush the inner side of 28 x 20 x 3 cm baking sheet with the butter. Spread the butter onto the two sides of the bread evenly.
Put 1/3 part of the bread slice into the baking sheet. Put the raisins, sultana, and cinnamon powder.
- Put another 1/3 of the bread slice, and put the rest of the raisins, sultana, and cinnamon powder.
- Then, put the last 1/3 of the bread slice. Set aside.
- Beat the egg with mixer until it stiff. Put the milk, cream, and sugar. Mix well.
- Put the mixture into the baking sheet. Let it sit in the room temperature for 30 minutes until the mixture is absorbed into the bread.
- Cover the baking sheet with aluminum foil. Bake in the oven, set it to 180 C. Bake for 30 minutes with au bain marie technique (the baking sheet is put inside a bigger baking sheet filled with boiled water).
- Unwrap the aluminum foil. Bake for more 30 minutes until the bread pudding surface becomes brownish. Serve warm. (*)
