Still Remember All Those Cute Animals at Batu Secret Zoo? This is How They Doing

TIMESINDONESIA, BATU – Self Quarantine time has made several zoo in Indonesia having a hard time and lost the surge of visitor coming to their place. Including what happened to Batu Secret Zoo, Jawa Timur Park (JTP) 2.
This zoo has been temporarily closed for public since March 23rd 2020. Fortunately, this zoo could survive this hard time. The vet and the zookeeper keep visiting the animals regularly as if they were before.

"We give psycho therapy to some animals that we prepared to be able to get in touch with the visitors such as those birds and weasels. I believe they feel lonely as they been used to be pet by the human," Batu Secret Zoo's vet, drh Prista Dwi Restanti said.
Still according to her, the zookeeper also gives their hardest effort to keep the animal happy. They bath them regularly and take them to play.
Meanwhile, the tiger sand most the wild animals doesn't have a huge psychological impact on them.
The chill like they used to since even the zoo was crowded none of them were taken to interact with human. "They keep active like they used to, there is no big difference on their psychology," Restanti added.
In a month, this zoo will spend around IDR 500 M only for the food. The management trying to anticipate it with changing their diet and get cheaper local food to feed the animals, such as local cantaloupe, local veggies and else.
Fortunately, Batu Secret Zoo has their own farm with dozens of fruits and veggies that the animals need so they can press their budget. Meanwhile, they have open a donation for the animal through Traveloka and PKBSI (Perhimpunan Kebun Binatang Seluruh Indonesia) to help them with the finance.(*)
