1. Telur Asin Bumbu Pindang (Boiled) 

Pindang is an Indonesian cooking method of boiling ingredients in salt and certain spices. To cook this salted egg, it is boiled in spices, such as red onion, garlic, turmeric, and coriander. These spices create a yellowish color on the egg shells.

This cooking method uses coconut shell charcoal for grilling the salted eggs. This grilling process causes the salted eggs to have a smoky taste from the burning coconut shell charcoal. To get the best, long-lasting smoky taste, the grilling process takes around 2 to 3 hours.

The grilled salted eggs have a dry texture, oily yolk, and delicious taste.

3. Oven Baked Salted Eggs

This cooking method uses the oven to bake the salted eggs. Oven-baked salted eggs have a dry texture and the yolk that is not too oily. Usually, it takes only one hour to bake this salted eggs. This type of salted egg is best for those who do not like salty taste. (*)
