Get an Unforgettable Experience of Shark Diving in Morotai

TIMESINDONESIA, MOROTAI – Morotai not only famous with its historical site, but it’s also known to have hundreds of amazing diving site. The most surprising thing is that most of the dive site will pamper you with an amazing experience of shark diving.  

According to the local Head of Tourism Industry and Destinations Asyura Umar this place has two most favourite spots to have shark diving. Those two are Mitita Shark Dive Point and Dodola Point.

Mitita Shark Dive Point has dozens of blacktip reef shark that you could found in any single corner of the water. Its situated in the slope from 18-23 depth. You could feed them and play around with them and enjoy the nerve challenging experience.

This diving point has been visited by lots of people including some local public figure and US ambassador for Indonesia. They even came to this wonderful spot to celebrate 70th anniversary of the relationship between US and Indonesia.

In another place, Dodola Point also offers an amazing experience of shark diving. Dodola Islands consist of two island, Dodola Besar and Dodola Kecil.

This is the most fascinating place in the area, with a ‘vanishing bridge’ between them. The two islands are connected by a very unique white sand pathway that only appears when the tide is low.

This is one of the reasons why you need to put Morotai in your itinerary list. This place is a classic tropical islands heaven. With white sand beaches, secluded places, great snorkelling spots and even better shark diving experience. (*)
