Kopassus Paying a Visit to Yogyakarta National Cemeteries

TIMESINDONESIA, JAKARTA – In order to honor their former several member of special armed forces or well known by the local community as Kopassus pay a visit to the Yogyakarta National Cemetaries or Taman Makam Pahlawan (TMP) at Jalan Kusumanegara, Yogyakarta, on Saturday (3/10/2020).

They are coming from different battalions in Yogayakarta.Group 2 Kopassus Kandang Menjangan Solo, Kopassus Community of Yogayakarta and Anak Korps Baret Merah (AKBM) DIY followed the ceremony.

Col. Inf Aqsa Erlangga SH MH leads the ceremony. Several figure of Kopassus such as the Commander 22 of Group 2 Kopassus, Kandang Menjangan, Kartosuro, Solo, Mayor Inf Agussalim Tuo, SH. M.IP. follows the ceremony attentively.  

During the visit they also do social service by cleaning the cemetery area. They then have some rest at a room which built next to the cemetery. They also greet some of Kopassus veterans that happen to attend the ceremony.

“Pancasila (national ideology) and UUD 1945 (the constitution) must be put on our heart to live in harmony both with our senior and the next generation,” Col. Inf Aqsa Erlangga SH MH said.

Aqsa also emphasized for all of the crew to stay alert for hoax. That they need to check the fact of everything. “Never ever send a hoax, don’t let those fake news isolate us from others,” Aqsa added.

Besides paying some visit to their former, Kopassus also donates some bleaching agents to around 20 mosque caretaker around Yogyakarta National Cemeteries. (*)
