Batu Karas, the Exhilarating Surfing Destination You Should Visit

TIMESINDONESIA, PANGANDARAN – Batu Karas has been the favorite place of both local and foreign surfers. When you get here, you will see a handful of foreign travellers surfing around the beach.

Batu Karas is also a good spot to hold surfing competition, as it is listed in the top 10 surfing spots in Indonesia.

However, during this Coronavirus pandemic, it is difficult for foreign travellers to reach this place, stated one of the members of Jaga Lembur in Batu Karas Beach, Asep Suparya (51).

Luckily, during this year-end holiday, some foreign travellers can be seen around the beach.

 “Although it is not as crowded as in the last year, some foreign travellers can be spotted around this beach. Most of them come through Bandung or Bali, then they arrive in Pangandaran. In the meantime, foreign travellers cannot fly directly from their countries and land in Pangandaran,” said Asep.

For the information, Batu Karas Beach are 40-kilometer away from Pangandaran Beach. It takes around 45 minutes to get to this beach by private vehicles. (*)
