Soto Marem of Pacitan, A Humble Chicken Soup for the Soul

Soto marem situated on an old building with old architecture that brings you back to the old time. This building and the shop were opened in 1980's. "This place has never been quiet from the customers since it's firstly opened," Maryati, the owner of the shop said. 

Maryati laso said that her customers were coming not only from the neighborhood are but also from neighborhood cities. Well, it can't be denied for the shop has such a strategic place right in front of intercity road which lead to several popular tourist destination in the city. 

The Soto Marem food shop opens daily from 07.00-21.00 local western times. A set of this chicken soup will cost you around IDR 18 K or less than $2. As to wait your soto comes, you could take some local cake or kue served on the table and explore the local delicacy of Pacitan. (*)
