Opak River, an Interesting  Place to Wait for Iftar Time

TIMESINDONESIA, YOGYAKARTA – Bantul seems like wanted to give the local community a nice place to spend their leisure time. They keep introducing new nice destination for the locals to pamper their longing of nice places. Including this Opak River.

Located at Karang Tirtohargo, Kretek, Bantul, you could reach this place for around 30 minutes ride from the city cente of Bantul. All you need is just go to TPR Pantai Samas gate and then turn left till you find a direction post which will lead you to Opak River.

This place had just been opened for public in December 2021. On this place, you could do some fun activities like riding a boat and tour around the river. You could rent the boat for IDR 10/pax. With this fare, you will be taken to tour around the river for around 20 minutes.

The management has also prepared some cafeteria for the visitors to rest and fill their growling belly. You will find lots of local foods prepared such as pecel to the modern day dishes like dumplings or takoyaki.

According to Sagiyo the Coordinator Manager of Opak River said that the local community  wass behind the renovation of this place. "The community agreed that Opak River was made by the community, managed by the community and for the community, " he said.

Though this place had just been introduced to the public but there has been lots of people visiting this place from day to day. This place will be quite crowd during the weekend. Lots of pepople will take their family just to enjoy the nice view and tour around Opak River of Bantul.
