JAKARTA Alvaro Bautista claimed his second win of the weekend in Race 2 WorldSBK. The guy which races for Ducati went 3.389s ahead of his rival from Pata Yamaha Toprak Razgatlioglu. This makes his point 82 bigger than Razgatlioglu.

His win makes him sit on the first place with 527. He could claim the title in the next race if he outscores Razgatlioglu by 17 points and Rea by one point. This makes him have a first chance to win the title next time out at the Pirelli Indonesian Round.

"For sure today, it's been really though in the race. First of all, because it's the last race of the weekend, and you feel, physically, all the efforts from the weekend but also because today the track was more difficult than yesterday," he said on WorldSBK statement. 

At first, Bautista made a mistake by didn't have a good start and lost some positions. However, it was such a fortunate for him for he could learn to situation from the one before him.

"Then I started to understand how much I could push, and I decided to recover the positions and take the lead because I felt that I could be faster than the others. I took the lead," he added.

Bautista saw Razgatlioglu line right behind his back. "I didn't think about taking points, about the risks... just to do my best. I gave everything. In the end, I could win some advantage and I could manage until the end. I'm so happy, today my performance was really good," he ended.

Meanwhile, Razgatlioglu who sat on the second position should be happy with taking 425 in total. His point was 16 points bigger than Jonathan Rea who finished on the third place. Rea managed to finish the race 9.764s behind Razgatlioglu.

"In the second race, I tried my best and kept fighting for the win. I was waiting for Alvaro’s tire to drop but it didn’t happen, so I kept fighting for second position," Razgatlioglu joking. 

Though he should stand in the second position, but he was so grateful for what he had. He was also stating his gratitude toward Pata Yamaha team who had support him during the game. 

"I want to thank my team, in the last minutes we changed the plan and decided to use the SCX tire. The SCX tire is destroyed but I was feeling much better during the race," he added.

Furthermore, he was expecting for a better result for the next game in Mandalika. "We keep fighting for the Championship. We’ll try our best again in Mandalika," he ended.

  6. Xavi Vierge (Team HRC) +16.381s.

  2. Toprak Razgatlioglu (Pata Yamaha with Brixx WorldSBK) with 425 points
  3. Jonathan Rea (Kawasaki Racing Team WorldSBK) with 409 points
  4. Michael Ruben Rinaldi (Aruna.it Racing – Ducati) with 260 points
  5. Alex Lowes (Kawasaki Racing Team WorldSBK) with 217 points

Standing on the top 5 best constructors are:

  1. Ducati with 538 points
  2. Yamaha with 473 points
  3. Kawasaki with 437 points
  4. Honda with 221 points, and.
  5. BMW with 218 points.
