Forum R20 PBNU Gives RP 300 M to Renovate Worship Places

TIMESINDONESIA, JAKARTA – PBNU Started to deliver the aid they destined for 6 worship places in Bali. This was one of G20 Religion Forum 20 (R20) program during their meeting in Bali. Each of the place will get around Rp 50 M donation.

Those 6 worship places are Jagatnatha Puja Mandala temple, An-Nahdlah mosque, Prebiteri Indonesia Jemaat Knowon Protestant Church, Al-Hidayah  Mosque of Kampung Lebah, Agung Jagatnatha Temple Denpasar, and Nurul Huda Mosque.

The donations was delivered by Zannuba Arifa Chafsoh or also well known as Yenny Wahid act in behalf of the Chief of PBNU. The delivery took place at Puja Mandala NUsa Dua, Bali on Tuesday (1/11/2022).

During the occasion, several other people from R20 Rumadi Ahmad, The Chief of PWNU Bali H Abdul Aziz, and the Chief of PW GP Ansor Bali H. Yunus Niam also attending the event. 

On behalf of the Chief of PBNU KH Yahya Cholil Staquf, Yenny said that the donations was aimed to support and as an example for all religion in the world to participate and take an action in giving a solution towards the world's issue happening nowadays.

During the occasion she also stated about the religious based conflict for some extreme belief. And thus trigger some rupture between one another because each community claimed that it was them the rig one.

"The taught in the religion was good. All was teaching about good deeds," Yenny explained through NU Online.

Yenny also explained that religion should have been become a solution and a power to boost the local community to help and protect each other. it should have not separate them into groups which hate one another.

"We as muslim have been thought to be rahmatan lil 'alamin, a bless universe. So muslim can't live for themselves, they have to be able to give something for others," she added. 

The G20 Religion Forum R20 will be held in Bali from 2-3 November 2022. Around 400 people including world leaders and religious public figure will attend the meeting. (*)
