Falah and Havelsan Sign MoU on Training and Simulation Product Development

TIMESINDONESIA, JAKARTA – PT Falah Inovasi Teknologi (Falah) and Havelsan have agreed to cooperate in product development for training and simulation. 

This partnership started with the cooperation in developing shooting simulators, parachute simulators and flight simulators. In the future, more products will be developed together.

The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) of cooperation between two parties held at IndoDefence 2022, was attended by Indonesian President Mr Joko Widodo and Indonesian Minister of Defense Mr Prabowo Subianto.

Havelsan, a huge Turkish defense company belongs to Turkish Air Force Foundation, has been in the industry since 1982 and provide many solutions for military and non-military needs. 

In principle, the product developed aims to make the training process faster, more efficient, cost-effective and can be done repeatedly. It is also important to gain experience in a risk-free training environment with realistic training scenarios.

Falah's Commissioner and CTO, Deni Muslim said that Havelsan is a strategic partner for technology in developing various training and simulation products. 

"We are delighted to cooperate with Havelsan because they have a long experience and share the same vision and passion, especially regarding industrial development and transfer of technology." he said. 

While Noviayana, CEO of Falah said that the signing of the MoU today is a new chapter for both parties after the first meeting at the International Defense Exhibition (IDEX) Abu Dhabi in 2021 ago. 

"We met for the first time at IDEX 2021 Abu Dhabi and continued our due diligence, visited each other, we visited Ankara and they visited Jakarta." Noviayana said.

Within the framework of the cooperation, Falah will upgrade the hardware and software of the system to suit the needs of Indonesian military forces, security forces, law enforcement forces and special forces. 

The upgrade included to weapon chute and aircraft customization, Indonesian visual database and various special training scenarios.

On this occasion, Havelsan General Manager, Mehmet Akif Nacar, said that Indonesia and Southeast Asia have an important position for Havelsan and Falah is the right partner for them. 

"We are delighted to have Falah as our partner. They have the ability and qualified resources in the development of various products. Currently we are also actively participating in various military and non-military related projects in Indonesia." he said.

Since the beginning of its foundation, Falah has focused its products on military and non-military training using advanced technologies such as augmented reality and virtual reality. 

Falah has its own learning management system and virtual training suite platform for various required content. Currently, Falah has developed many content and training scenarios that are specifically made for aircraft maintenance training, virtual reality language learning systems, and various other e-learning subject matter. 

In the future Havelsan and Falah will continue to develop products and penetrate new markets together in Indonesia or other parts of the world.
