Kampung Kerbau Situbondo, a Place to See the Beauty of Local Buffalo

TIMESINDONESIA, SITUBONDO – Watching for some buffalo in their natural ecosystem will be such a good thing to do to spend your holiday. And you could have this experience at Kampung Kerbau Situbondo.

Located at Tanjung Pecinan, Mangaran, Situbondo, East Java you could see lots of tame buffalo munching some grass next to a swamp. This will be a therapeutic scenery to see especially when you happened to have a busy day at work.

The buffalo was free raised and was let to find their own food from the grass that grow around the swamp. They will be o this place for a day long. The numerous amount of this animal and how they didn't fierce react to the people around them gave such a calming atmosphere.

Kampung Kerbau Becomes Famous on the Internet

Some people who happened o pass by and make time to watch this natural phenomenon has posted their experience on their social media lately. Since then this place has become internet famous and lots of people especially who live in the neighborhood area come to see its beauty.

The buffalo was let loose on a vast stretched green savannah. The buffalos was not belong to one people, but they were belongs to several villagers who let the buffalo find some grass on it. 

The owner will just watch and monitor their pet from a far. This method make the creature have less stress than being raised in a pen. There were hundreds of buffalo let loose on the same area. They have been labeled to find who the owner is.

The Enchanting Savannah around the Swamp at Kampung Kerbau

These creatures was let loose on a lush green savannah which surrounded by swamp in lake size. The buffalos could feed themselves on it as well drink the water from the swamp. 

The beauty of local scenery combined with a tame calming munching grass animals will be a great thing to have in the late afternoon. The scenery will be elevated when the sun start to set. The golden glow make the water in the swamp look so intimidating.

"It was so good, green and fresh. It was so perfect to be a place to spend our spare time after a long day at work. it feels so fresh to be here," Ridwan, a local visitor said about Kampung Kerbau Situbondo.

Since people posted their picture and video in the internet, this place has become a place to relax for several people in the late afternoon. They will come here alone, some with friends and relative and even with their loved ones. 

"We hope that the visitor will be more responsible toward the nature and doesn't trash the area and keep the ecosystem clean," Budi a local herder said concerning the number of trash start to pile up around the main venue for buffalo farm of Kampung Kerbau Situbondo. (*)
