Bebek Gentong Bondowoso, Best Place to Take Your Family for Dinner

TIMESINDONESIA, BONDOWOSO – Bondowoso has their ultimate dishes called Bebek Gentong. Even a local restaurant was named after this dish. This dish was merely a roasted duck with special ingredients of local herbs and spices. This dish will be a good thing to serve for family dinner.

The name of the dish literally means duck in the barrel. It was because of the cooking process will involve the use of barrel in the making. The duck will be marinated put in the barrel for several time with special herbs and spices. 

Bebek Gentong Suits the Local Taste

This duck will be marinated with certain spices of Java, Bali, And Madura. The combination of the ingredient create a nice aromatic duck with nice and tender meat. "This food will suit everyone's taste even for those Chinese," Rizal Budi Yana, the owner of Bebek Gentong Bondowoso said.

Though the restaurant was considered as a small restaurant, but this place take the plating into their consideration. They served this main signature dish in beautiful way. "We serve the whole part except the feet and the head," he added.

The presentation was also followed with some green and red vegetables to balance the nutrition. However, there was also single pack size with smaller size of duck served on your plate. 

An Affordable Prize for the Whole Pack of Bebek Gentong

A whole pack of this dish could be enjoyed for IDR80-100 K. the smaller size of this  dish will only cost you not more than IDR30 K. This is such an affordable price for the whole family or even when you came alone. 

The restaurant opens daily from 06.00 to 20.00 local western times. This place has also prepared themselves for the upcoming Ramadan. During this sacred month for Muslim it will be opened from 15.00 to 03.00 (early in the morning).
