MAKKAH – The Hajj pilgrimage is one of the most important and revered acts of worship in Islam. It is a time of intense devotion and deep reflection for Muslims around the world. Dos and Don't During Hajj Pilgrimage

Dos:

Pilgrims should take care to follow the principles of ihram, including maintaining cleanliness and avoiding any inappropriate behavior.
2. Be respectful and mindful of others: Hajj is a time of unity and brotherhood/sisterhood among Muslims. Pilgrims should be respectful of the people around them and mindful of their actions. They should avoid any behavior that could harm or disturb others and show patience, kindness, and compassion.
3. Follow the guidance of experienced Islamic scholars: The journey of Hajj can be challenging and overwhelming, so it’s essential to seek guidance from knowledgeable Islamic scholars. They can provide guidance and support on all aspects of the pilgrimage, from the rituals of worship to practical matters such as accommodations and transportation.

Don’ts:

1. Engage in prohibited behaviors: There are several behaviors that are prohibited during Hajj, including smoking, drinking, using drugs, and engaging in any kind of sexual activity. Remember, Hajj is a purely spiritual journey, and pilgrims should focus on their worship and devotion.
2. Engage in any forms of fighting or quarrelling: Pilgrims should avoid any kind of fighting or quarrelling with others during the Hajj journey. Such behavior is strictly prohibited and can result in serious consequences.
3. Wear inappropriate clothing or accessories: When in ihram, there are rules around dress code and appearance. Men should not cover their heads or wear any kind of jewelry or perfumes, while women should not cover their faces or wear any makeup or jewelry. All pilgrims should dress modestly and appropriately, keeping in mind the sanctity of this spiritual journey.
