Alumni Connect Presidium: PPI Dunia Gathers Indonesian Scholars

TIMESINDONESIA, JAKARTA – As the largest overseas student organization, the Overseas Indonesian Students' Association Alliance, known as PPI Dunia, has established the Alumni Connect Presidium.

The presidium serves as a platform for the gathering of ex member of PPI Dunia, who are dispersed across 65 countries, to form a leadership structure.

"Alumni Connect PPI Dunia is a platform for the ex member, and we provide a decree to mandate the Presidium Council to establish the organizational structure," said Coordinator of PPI Dunia Hamzah Assuudy Lubis during a press conference on Tuesday night (10/10/2023).

Hamzah also stated that another responsibility of the Alumni Connect Presidium is to formulate the Articles of Association and Articles of Incorporation, which will also include the periodicity of the alumni leadership.

"We hope that this association could be a pkace to connect either the ex member of PPI Dunia with the active member," Hamzah added.

Hamzah hopes this cross generation association will be beneficial to every of the member and bring good things towards the organizattion.

Here are the 10 Alumni Connect Presidium members who have been appointed by PPI Dunia:

1. Achmad Aditya (Netherlands Alumni), Coordinator of the Alumni Connect Presidium.
2. Choirul Anam (Czech Republic Alumni) as a member of the Alumni Connect Presidium.
3. Achyar Al Rasyid (China Alumni) as a member of the Alumni Connect Presidium.
4. Muhammad Dhafi Iskandar (France Alumni) as a member of the Alumni Connect Presidium.
5. Hafizd Alharomain Lubis (Egypt Alumni) as a member of the Alumni Connect Presidium.
6. Nikkolai Ali Akbar Velayati (China Alumni) as a member of the Alumni Connect Presidium.
7. Ruhiyat Haririe (Sudan Alumni) as a member of the Alumni Connect Presidium.
8. Hakam Junus (Australia Alumni) as a member of the Alumni Connect Presidium.
9. Muhammad Syaugi Almuhdhar (Yemen Alumni) as a member of the Alumni Connect Presidium.
10. James Reinaldo Rumpia (Thailand Alumni) as a member of the Alumni Connect Presidium.

In another hand, Achmad Adhitya, the Coordinator of the Alumni Connect PPI Dunia Presidium, emphasized the significant potential of PPI Dunia as an overseas organization. He highlighted its structured and grassroots approach, extending its reach even to campus-level PPIs.

"Alumni Connect PPI Dunia should ideally be strategic partners for both government and private institutions, " Adhitya ended. (*)
