TIMESINDONESIA, YOGYAKARTA – In the heart of Kaliurang, Yogyakarta, a haven of nature and culture unfolds its doors to the public – the Kaliurang Park Botanical Garden. Recently, the grand opening of this enchanting destination has marked a significant step in offering not just recreational spaces but also educational and cultural experiences.

Agung, a representative of Kaliurang Park, proudly said that the park has brought the local empowerment concept. Around 90% of the park's employees are local residents. This includes the dedicated local traders, emphasizing the park's commitment to uplifting the community by providing opportunities for creativity and employment.

The Five New Attractions

During this new year festive, the park boasts an array of 13 attractions. Before it was just an ordinary local park but now it has five new additions recently unveiled.

From the thrilling mountain slide and flying fox to the immersive experiences like foam ball baths, snow foam baths, trampolines, and fruit gardens, Kaliurang Park offers a diverse range of activities. Notably, some attractions are free, while others require a separate fee, providing visitors with a variety of options.

Agung further revealed exciting plans for the park, promising that every six months, there will be something new and captivating added to enhance visitors' experiences.

Muhammad Fuad Hassan, the Finance Director of PT Anindya Mitra Internasional (AMI), expressed his appreciation for the grand opening of Kaliurang Park. He sees it as a continuation of the success following the soft opening in April 2023. The ongoing Pasar Kangen, an open-market concept running until January 2, 2024, adds to the festive atmosphere.

The Cultural Hub

Fuad commended the inclusion of new entertainment and educational facilities, such as jogging tracks and flying fox rides. Drawing on his experience at Surabaya Zoo. "I hope there will be a new advanced collaboration in the future," he remarked.

What sets Kaliurang Park apart is its commitment to not only being a recreational space but also an educational and cultural hub. The park features eco-friendly solar power facilities that seamlessly function during power outages, a testament to its dedication to sustainability.

Notable additions like composting facilities and various educational attractions supported by numerous parties contribute to the park's role in enriching schoolchildren's learning experiences.

The Grand Launching of Kaliurang Park Botanical Garden received praise from the Wonderful Tourism Community representatives, anticipating that it will become a magnet for tourists and evolve into a premier travel destination.
