TIMESINDONESIA, MADINAH – Hadian, a 20-year-old from Madiun, has become an inspiration due to his bravery in realizing the dream of performing the Hajj pilgrimage at such a young age. Along with his companion Handaruhing (29), they have captured attention for their determination to fulfill their spiritual journey to the holy land of Mecca.

Since the age of 12, Hadian has harbored the aspiration of undertaking the Hajj pilgrimage. Motivated by his parents and driven by personal determination, he diligently saved and worked hard at Perhutani to materialize this dream. His desire is not just to become a pilgrim, but to be a "haji mabrur" - one whose pilgrimage is accepted and pleasing to God. His hope is to inspire others to embark on the Hajj journey from a young age.

Handaruhing followed in his younger brother's footsteps by registering for Hajj while still in high school. Despite initial doubts, the encouragement of their parents and their unwavering determination led them to the Sacred Land.

They both emphasize the importance of performing Hajj at a young age to ensure the sincerity and completeness of the pilgrimage. They believe that life should not only be about worldly success but also about preparing for the afterlife.

Their story serves as a beacon of hope for young generations, encouraging them not to delay in registering for Hajj. They advocate for starting the process early, emphasizing that spiritual fulfillment should not be postponed until old age.

Their journey highlights the wisdom of registering for Hajj at a young age, especially considering the long waiting list dominated by the elderly. Director General of Hajj and Umrah Services at the Ministry of Religious Affairs, Hilman Latief, affirms that registering for Hajj at a young age is a wise decision and can begin as early as 12 years old by visiting the Ministry of Religious Affairs office.
