PT MSP Achieves Two Green Proper KLHK 2024, Proof of Company's Commitment
PT Mitra Stania Prima (MSP) earns dual Green PROPER awards in 2024 for its Smelter and Mining Divisions, highlighting its commitment to sustainable mining and environmental stewardship.
JAKARTA – PT Mitra Stania Prima (MSP) again won the Green Proper appreciation from the Ministry of Environment and Forestry (KLHK) of the Republic of Indonesia for the 2024 working year. Unmitigated, two awards at once were won by two divisions of MSP's trusted mining company, namely the Smelter Division and the Mining Division.
PT MSP Director Harwendro Adityo Dewanto appreciated the achievements made by two divisions within the company. He said the Green Proper from KLHK in 2024 was the second time for the Smelter Division. Previously, the Smelter Division had won the KLHK Green Proper in 2023. As for the Mining Division, this is the first KLHK Green Proper.
The KLHK Green Proper is given in relation to the implementation of Good Mining Practice (GMP) in the company's operations. From the beginning, PT MSP has been committed to implementing mining regulations in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOP) regulations. MSP continued Harwendro has exceeded standards in environmental management and community empowerment.
“This Green Proper from KLHK is proof that the company is carrying out this commitment in a sustainable manner,” said Harwendro, Wednesday (15/4/2025).
PT MSP, Harwendro continued, is committed to continuing to improvise and innovate in the fields of energy efficiency, emission reduction, hazardous and toxic waste (B3) reduction, non-B3 waste utilization, water conservation and pollutant load reduction, biodiversity, and community empowerment programs.
“The company strives to consistently create a positive impact on the environment and surrounding communities,” said Harwendro.
The award ceremony was held at Sasono Langen Budoyo, Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII), Jakarta, Monday, February 24, 2025 and was attended by the Minister of Environment and Head of the Environmental Control Agency (BPLH) Hanif Faisol Nurofiq.
In his speech, Hanif said that the Green and Gold Proper awards from KLH were given as a form of appreciation for companies that apply the principles of sustainable environmental management.
“The Gold Proper and Green Proper awards to companies prove the company's commitment in environmental management. With this award, it is hoped that the company will become more world-class in environmental aspects,” Hanif was quoted as saying in a press release.
On that occasion, PT MSP Operations Director Sudarno represented the company to receive the award. (*)
