Satu Haji App Launched to Support Smarter Pilgrimage Experience for Hajj 2025

TIMESINDONESIA, JAKARTA – In a significant move toward digital transformation in religious services for Hajj 2025, Indonesia’s Directorate General of Hajj and Umrah (Ditjen PHU) has officially launched the Satu Haji mobile application.
The launch coincided with the inauguration of the Haji Command Center (HCC), marking a new era in how Indonesia manages and supports its pilgrims.

The Satu Haji app is a rebranded and integrated platform that combines the functionalities of two previous apps: Haji Pintar (Smart Hajj) and Umrah Cerdas (Smart Umrah).
This new app is designed to simplify access to vital information and services for prospective pilgrims, including digital registration, education, and on-the-ground guidance.
“Satu Haji is the result of rebranding previous applications, now serving as a broader and more accessible online service and public information channel,” said Arfi Hatim, a representative from the Ministry of Religious Affairs.
A Unified Digital Solution for Pilgrims
Indonesia sends one of the largest contingents of Hajj pilgrims in the world every year. Managing these pilgrims—from registration to return—requires efficient coordination and accurate data. Satu Haji answers this need by centralizing services that were previously fragmented across different platforms.
Among its main features, the app allows users to:
- Register for Hajj electronically
- Monitor their queue number and estimated year of departure
- Access educational content and guidelines on performing Hajj and Umrah
- Receive real-time updates and notifications, especially during the Hajj season
- Track their travel itinerary, including flight and accommodation information
Access emergency assistance and contact Indonesian Hajj officials in Saudi Arabia
Increasing Transparency and Accessibility
One of the key goals of Satu Haji is to increase transparency in the Hajj registration process and enhance the accessibility of information. Prospective pilgrims can now track their progress without needing to visit government offices or rely on unofficial sources.
This digital shift is particularly helpful for people in remote areas or those unfamiliar with bureaucratic procedures.
The app is available for download on Android and iOS devices, ensuring it can reach a broad segment of Indonesia’s tech-savvy Muslim population. Its user interface has been optimized to be intuitive and beginner-friendly, even for older users.
Looking Ahead: Smarter Hajj Management
The introduction of Satu Haji reflects a broader push by the Indonesian government to modernize its religious services and make them more adaptive to current technological trends.
With the Hajj becoming increasingly complex—especially amid global health concerns, quota limitations, and logistical challenges—the app is expected to become a central tool for both the Ministry and the pilgrims it serves.
As the pilgrimage season approaches, authorities hope that more users will take advantage of Satu Haji to ensure a smoother, safer, and more informed Hajj 2025 experience. (*)
