JAKARTA Indonesian Hajj pilgrims visiting Madinah during Hajj 2026 have been officially assured that access to Raudhah at Masjid Nabawi is entirely free, as authorities caution pilgrims against fraudulent individuals demanding payment for entry.

Head of the Madinah Working Area (Kadaker), Khalilurrahman, emphasized that no pilgrim should pay any fee to enter the sacred site, which holds deep spiritual significance for Muslims worldwide.

“We want to firmly remind all pilgrims that entering Raudhah is completely free,” Khalilurrahman said during a morning briefing on Monday, April 28, 2026.

He also urged pilgrims to remain alert and report any individuals claiming to be officials or service providers who request money in exchange for access.

“If there are irresponsible parties asking for payment, report them immediately to our officers,” he said.

Official Access Through Group Permits or Nusuk App

Madinah Hajj authorities explained that Indonesian pilgrims can visit Raudhah through two official channels:

  • Group permits (tasrih) organized by Hajj officers
  • Independent registration through the official Nusuk mobile application

These systems are designed to provide fair, transparent, and secure access while protecting pilgrims from scams.

Authorities noted that unauthorized charges often target vulnerable pilgrims, particularly the elderly or those unfamiliar with digital registration procedures.

Raudhah’s Spiritual Importance

Located within Masjid Nabawi, between the Prophet Muhammad’s tomb and pulpit, Raudhah is considered one of the holiest areas in Islam.

Because of its immense religious value, millions of pilgrims hope to pray there each year. To manage the large number of visitors, Saudi authorities regulate access through scheduled permits and visitor quotas.

The warning is part of Indonesia’s broader commitment to improving pilgrim safety and service quality during Hajj 2026.

As Indonesian pilgrims continue arriving in Saudi Arabia, officials are reinforcing that essential worship services, including visits to Raudhah, must remain free from illegal fees or exploitation.

Pilgrims are strongly encouraged to rely solely on official Hajj 2026 officers and authorized digital platforms for all worship arrangements to ensure a safe and smooth pilgrimage experience. (*)
