UIN Malang Strengthens International Reputation Through Global Collaborations

TIMESINDONESIA, JAKARTA – Universitas Islam Negeri Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang or known as UIN Malang is actively working to enhance its international reputation. The university is continually fostering collaborations with various countries to fulfill its vision of becoming a globally recognized institution.
Most recently, UIN Maliki Malang explored a potential collaboration with the Ministry of Education in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This was a key topic during a visit from the Educational and Cultural Attaché (Adikbud) of the Indonesian Embassy in Riyadh or KBRI Riyadh, Dr. Badrus Sholeh, on Monday, May 20, 2024.

Dr. Badrus Sholeh was welcomed by UIN Malang's leadership, including Dr. H. Isroqunnakah, M.Ag, Vice Rector for Cooperation and Institutional Development; Prof. Dr. H. Umi Sumbulah, M.Ag, Vice Rector for Academic Affairs; and other officials.
Dr. H. Isroqunnakah, affectionately known as Gus Is, expressed his delight at the visit from Adikbud KBRI Riyadh. He emphasized that the meeting could be a gateway for UIN Malang to establish partnerships with international institutions.
"This campus has already achieved excellence and is on the brink of gaining an international reputation. Therefore, we hope this important meeting will help facilitate UIN Malang's mission to become a university with a competitive edge on the international stage," he said.
During the meeting, several crucial topics were discussed, including the potential for collaboration between UIN Malang and the Ministry of Education in Riyadh. The university believes that such international partnerships will yield numerous benefits for both parties.
"We hope this collaboration will open doors for UIN Malang to expand its educational impact in Riyadh, supporting our vision of becoming a superior and internationally competitive institution," Gus Is added.
He noted that the visit not only strengthens bilateral educational ties between Indonesia and Saudi Arabia but also reinforces UIN Malang's determination to evolve and meet international standards in education and research.
"With the support of KBRI Riyadh, UIN Malang is optimistic about achieving its goal of becoming a world-class university," he concluded.
