A Glimpse into PPI Jepang's Role in the ASEAN-Japan Summit

TIMESINDONESIA, JAKARTA – The intricate tapestry of international relations, the ASEAN-Japan Summit serves as a cultural crossroads, fostering collaboration and understanding. Within this dynamic, the Indonesian Student Association in Japan also known as PPI Japan or PPI Jepang emerges a support system in helping the Presidentof Indonesia's assistants to prepare all he need during his staying period.
For your information, ASEAN countries and Japan has set a stronger bonds for 50 years. It match the theme of the summit, "Golden Friendship, Golden Opportunities".

Fadlyansyah Farid, Chairman of PPI Japan, said that they have around 10 of their member to help the president's needs and prepare everything. They worked for 7 days prior to the presidents coming to make sure everything was set as the standard.
"Assisting for 7 days to prepare for everything was more than a duty, it was an enriching experience in exchange," Fadlyansyah Farid, Chairman of PPI Japan stated (19/12/2023).
Following the summit, PPI Jepang is committed to disseminating the outcomes of the 50th ASEAN-Japan Summit to stakeholders in Indonesia. Japan, in a monumental gesture, plans to contribute approximately 40 billion yen to programs benefiting over 10 million people over the next decade.

Additionally, around 15 billion Japanese Yen will support collaborative research, especially with ASEAN member countries. Prima Gandhi, Vice Chairman of PPI Jepang in Tokyo, expressed plans to gather data on research conducted by Indonesian students in Japan and cluster themes that could benefit from the 15 billion yen allocated by the Japanese government.
The focus on research initiatives highlights the importance of the ASEAN-Japan Summit's outcomes in strengthening and passing on a long-term relationship of trust between the youth of Japan and ASEAN.
As a doctoral student at Tokyo University of Agriculture, Gandhi emphasized the significance of disseminating the summit's results to fortify and bequeath a legacy of trust between the young generations of Japan and ASEAN. The collaborative efforts between PPI Jepang and the summit reflect a shared commitment to nurturing enduring connections that transcend borders and generations. (*)
