Antasari Azhar: This Year Novel Baswedan's Case Finished

TIMESINDONESIA, DENPASAR – The former Chair of the Indonesian Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK RI) Antasari Azhar responded to the Indonesian KPK senior investigator's legal case Novel Baswedan which police have not yet been able to reveal up to now.

Antasari only expressed, he hopes the case that befell to Novel, won't happen anymore in this country.

"There are no more people who are harmed by criminal means. Don't be any more in the future. Use the law correctly, to have people in order and peacefull and not to get rid of people who disliked," he said when met after the inauguration Garda Jokowi Bali Province in Kuta Badung, Bali on Monday (26/11/2018).

This Chairperson of Central Executive Board (DPP) Garda Jokowi, assessed that Novel Baswedan's case will be revealed this year, if there is a strong will from the political elite and the state.

"I'm sure, this year (Novel's case) is finished, and that’s my feeling. And indeed there must be a strong will from the political elite and this country. In 2018 this is my hope," he said.

"If possible, tonight (the perpetrator) will be arrested. Because, after all he was my ex-subordinate. I experienced it and so did the man (Novel Baswedan). It has been enough, the state officials were treated like it. So use that authority correctly," concluded Antasari Azhar. (*)
