HARRIS Hotel & Residences Riverview Kuta – Bali Celebrated Earth Hour 2019

TIMESINDONESIA, BALI – On March 30, HARRIS Hotel & Residences Riverview Kuta participated in the annual worldwide Earth Hour, a worldwide movement encouraging individuals, communities, and businesses across the globe to turn off non-essential lights and other electrical appliances in heart-of-the-house and back-of-the-house areas and dim the lights in public areas, restaurant and the hotel’s exterior for one hour between 8:30 and 9:30 p.m. to raise awareness of the need to act on climate change.

From 8:30 p.m., the main lighting in the public areas was turned off and the hotel remained on minimal lighting for one hour.  Hotel guests were encouraged to participate by switching off the lighting and any power or devices in their guestrooms.

“Understanding the impact our operation has on the environment is very important to us.  The hotel has implemented this program to minimize unnecessary energy consumption. We also invited the guests to light up the candles that has been provided by our team, to support this movement,” said Virginie Tutin Sandstrom, the hotel’s General Manager.
