Melon Festival, a Wonderful Annual Fruit Festival of Tuban

TIMESINDONESIA, TUBAN – As their gratitude to the God, all melon farmers at Tuban gathered together and conducted Melon Festival or Festival Melon on Saturday (11/05/2019). This festival was located at Klotok, Plumpang, Tuban.

There are 4,5 ton of melon stacked like a mountain which will be delivered freely to the society. The Festuval was started with symbolize melon harvesting by the East Java Governor.

"Melon has become a pilot project for Tuban, we will keep observing and increasing the quality. As we know that our melin had been qualified to be exported to another country like Singapore," Camat Plumpang, Saefiyudin, S.STP, M.AP. said.

On the occasion Syaefudin also said that the melon Festival will be included as annual Festival of Tuban. They had been talking about this and cooperated with several another melon farmers villages like Magersari Klotok, Kedungsoko, and Bandungrejo.

The Melon Festival or Festival Melon was ended with Musik Tongklek competition. This competition was participated by lots of musical group from Tuban, Bojonegoro, and Lamongan. The visitors enjoy the Festival so much then cheers and went home with a smile on their face. (*)
