Kembang Kuning Tourism Village Nominated as The Top 28 of Archipleago Tourism Village Competition

TIMESINDONESIA, LOMBOK TIMUR – The Kembang Kuning Tourism Village is nominated as the top 28 of Archipelago Tourism Village Competition 2019. This good news was stated by the Assistant Deputy for Cultural Tourism Development of the Indonesian Ministry of Tourism, Oneng Setyaharini, while verifying the area on Thursday, (24/10/2019).

According to her, the tourists lately tend to appreciate the local culture especially when the local community hold it themselves. The Kembang Kuning is one of 158 villages that competed o the competition.

"We hope that this place could maintain its originality, by bringing up the local culture to their daily activities," Oneng said.

In addition, she also said that there are around 7000 villages in Indonesia that starting to set and design their place to be a proper tourism village. The tourism village has a good potential to increase the economy level of the area including the community.

At the end of her speech she said that the ministry will reward the vilalages which goes to the top 10 tourism village with government fund for IDR 200 M. And she hope that Kembang Kuning Tourism Village of East Lombok will be one of them. (*)
