Visit this Amazing Culinary Destination of Banyuwangi, The Oling River Food Folks Market

TIMESINDONESIA, BANYUWANGI – Banyuwangi keep introducing new tourist destination to raise their income from the tourism sector. This time, they brought up the Oling River Food, a folks market which served dozens of food made of river fish.

Located in Dam Limo river bank, Tegal limo village, Tegal limo, Banyuwangi this place offered several menus made from the local river fish such as eel.

This folks market process the ell into several kind of dishes such as fried eel, eel curry, steamed eel and many other way of cooking. You could also find another menu such as spicy sting ray curry, spicy chicken curry, salad with peanut sauce (pecel), shea shell satay and many more.

"We would like to take the visitors to enjoy the local eel and enjoy the beauty of the Dam Limo river bank Banyuwangi," the Asssistant of Public Administration of Banyuwangi said on Friday (27/12/2019).

Banyuwangi which is known to be the biggest eel exporter has exported their eel to Japan and another foreign countries. This city not only share the joy with foreign countries but willingly share the delicious taste of eel to the local community.

You could also find some traditional snacks of Banyuwangi such as, lopis, Cenil, putu ayu, gethuk and many more. You could visit this place before or after visiting the famous Alas Purwo since the place is located right before the Alas Purwo itself.

The Oling River Food folks market of Banyuwangi which has just had their grand opening on Deccember 26th 2019 is held twice in a week exactly on Saturday at 15.00-21.00 (local western time) and on Sunday at 09.00-16.00 (local western time). (*)
