Rendang is a dish from the Minangkabau region in West Sumatra, Indonesia. This dish is often described as a dish of beef that has been slow cooked and braised in coconut milk seasoned with various herbs and spices until the meat turns dark brown and tender. The cooking process takes around 7 to 8 hours, and this dish can last for 3 to 4 weeks at room temperature.
2. Satay
Satay is an authentic Indonesian food that consists of small pieces of meat grilled on a skewer and served with a spiced peanut sauce and sweet soy sauce.
3. Soto
Soto is a traditional Indonesian soup that mainly consists of broth, meat and vegetables. There are several types of soto, such as Soto Betawi, Soto Lamongan, Soto Banjar and so on. 5. Gudeg
Gudeg is a traditional Indonesian cuisine from Yogyakarta, Central Java. It is made of young unripe jackfruit, stewed with palm sugar and coconut milk. Gudeg is usually served with chicken, egg, sambal and krecek (Javanese cattle skin).
