Though the price of cooking oil and some ingredients in the country rose up, Feri Irawan, the owner of the stall said that she will keep the jumbo size of the tempeh for her customer. A set of Mendoan Jumbo consists of 7 pieces of mendoan which only cost you for IDR 10 K.
Irawan will slice the huge size tempeh in thin slices. It will be as wide as your palm. She will coat the tempeh with batter made of all purposive flour, ground coriander, salt and garlic, as well minced leek or onion spring. And of course a pinch of chicken block to make it more savory.
The nice aromatic fried tempeh when it was deep fried will surely make your mouth watering. The savory taste will keep your chewing and without you even know, will were just ordering the next plate of mendoan.
To have this dish you could visit Mendoan Jumbo at Jalan Raya Wonogiri-Pacitan right in front of SMAN 1 Baturetno. The vendor opens daily from 15.00 to 22.00 local western times. You could also have the a cup of local coffee to accompany your mealtime in this place.
