Sayyid Ahmad via KH Ihya Ulumiddin on1 Abad NU: People Should Live in Harmony

TIMESINDONESIA, SURABAYA – Sayyid Ahmad bin Muhammad Alawi al Maliki al Hasani through KH Ihya Ulumiddin said a peaceful word during one of the 1 Abad NU event of Muktamar Internasional Fiqih Peradaban I. This event was held at Shangri-La Hotel, Surabaya on Monday (6/2/2023).

During the occasion Sayid Ahmad said that a harmony living shuold have been a milestone for everyone to life their live in this world. "Then this harmony will be a benchmark to live with another people even those with different belief," Ihya Ulumuddin read Sayyid Ahamd statement.

In addition, Sayyid Ahmad also said that this was in line with what Prophet Muhammad has taught the muslim to. "Mecca back then, as we all know, was in the dark times. But our prophet keep being patient and face it with his good manners," he added. 

In accordance, in dealing some obstacle muslim has nowadays, they should have been calm and face it like adults just like what the prophet did back then. "He is our role model, there then we need to copy his characters," Ulumuddin explained. 

Meanwhile, in dealing about some gossips and people talking in their back which will only separate one to another Ihya also said that unity is a crucial thing to be maintained. "Openminded, loyalty, justice, realize the right and responsibilities was all the the thing we need," he added.

This statement was also supported Madinah Chapter by the prophet which said that we should treat people the same way. This was to avoid some defamation formed to keep muslim in unite. 

Towards this 1 Abad NU event, Sayyid Ahmad bin Muhammad Alawi through Kiai Ihya Ulumuddin stated his appreciation. "I deeply appreciate this event which was hold by NU as a moderate organization and a milestone of unity in Indonesia," Sayyid wrote. (*)
