TIMESINDONESIA, JAKARTA – Museum Singhasari is one of the museums in Malang that offers a wide variety of relics from the Tumapel Kingdom. The thematic museum was officially opened on May 20, 2015, with Dr. Rendra Kresna, the Regent of Malang, along with the Malang Regency Tourism and Culture Department.

“It was inaugurated in 2015, but then operated two years later because it was still collecting collections of historical relics from the Singasari Kingdom," said Yossy Indra, the coordinator of the Singhasari Museum on Friday (27/10/2023).

Moreover, the museum displays models of well-known temples, like Singosari Temple, Sumberawan Stupa, Badut Temple, Kidal Temple, and Jago Temple. They also have mortar and pestle sets donated by the Candirenggo Subdistrict Office.
