Addressing Pilgrims' Concerns

Ali Nurokhim, Head of the Pilgrim Protection Division for the Mecca Working Area, emphasizes that the Hajj Protection Officers (Linjam) are always ready to safeguard pilgrims throughout the Hajj operation. “Our duty is to provide protection to pilgrims during the operational period of Hajj. We have deployed Linjam personnel to the lodging sectors in the Mecca Working Area and the Special Sector (Seksus) of the Masjid al-Haram,” Nurokhim stated on Friday, May 24, 2024.

Linjam officers stationed in the lodging sectors are responsible for protecting Indonesian pilgrims residing in hotels. Meanwhile, those in the special sector focus on safeguarding pilgrims during their worship at the Masjid al-Haram.

Strategic Protection Posts Around Masjid al-Haram

To enhance protection, the Head of the Special Sector has established nine posts around the Masjid al-Haram:

1. **Post 1** at Syib Amir Terminal
2. **Post 2** at the Marwa Gate
3. **Post 3** in the Sa’i area
4. **Post 4** in the Tawaf area
5. **Post 5** at Babussalam Gate
6. **Post 6** to the right of Zamzam Tower (in front of toilet 3)
7. **Post 7** to the left of Zamzam Tower
8. **Post 8** next to Darut Tauhid Hotel
9. **Post 9** in the Masjid al-Haram expansion area

These posts are strategically placed to assist pilgrims and alleviate their worries about finding their way back to their accommodations, allowing them to remain calm and focused on their worship. The members of the special sector at the Masjid al-Haram are on duty 24 hours a day to protect Indonesian pilgrims.

Technological and Community Support

The effort to safeguard pilgrims is further enhanced by technological solutions and community involvement. For instance, the **Kawal Haji** application offers practical tools for reporting and monitoring during Hajj 2024. Additionally, the introduction of the **Smart Card Haji** provides a modern approach to managing Hajj operations.

Moreover, inspiring stories, such as that of Subiyanto, a banana seller making his way to Hajj in 2024, and the collective good deeds shared at the King Fahd Quran Printing Complex, exemplify the communal spirit and mutual support that underpin the Hajj experience.
