TIMESINDONESIA, BALI – Tthe G20 Indonesia in Nusa Dua Bali was expected to be able to provide a tool to keep and maintain the world peace. As the host, the President of Indonesia Joko Widodo has such a big role in supporting and creating the situation.
This was stated by the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment of Indonesia Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan. To him, Jokowi will be the right person to do this during the occasion.
Speaking from the Courtyard by Marriot Nusa Dua Bali on Thursday (10/11/2022) Luhut said that Jokowi will speak about a lot of things during the summit.
"Yes, everything (will be discussed). People will ask President Jokowi to be a path about matters pertaining to their states and everything. And that's already started," Luhut speaking after launching Electronic Visa on Arrival (e-VOA).
Regarding the war happened in Russia and Ukraine, Luhut said that there will be no topic of discussion about that. for your information the presidents from both countries will be absence for the summit.
"No. It was not stated in the list. But, I believe they will talk about it on side event," Luhut said answering to the questions given.
Luhut also underlined that Indonesia has such a big role in creating world peace. And this matter has been written in constitution.
"It's not that we being arrogant. We have such obligation and it has been written in the constitution. It means we bring peace. We are an independent country, we saw G20 as an economic forum, not a media for political interests," Luhut said.
Luhut also said that there will be around 18 world's leaders including Jokowi to attend G20 Indonesia. As for now, their staff has started to come to prepare for their coming.
